Loft-style Residential Project Could Rise in Fort Lauderdale's Flagler Village

A loft-style multifamily building could be developed in the Flagler Village neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale.

The city's Development Review Committee on Dec. 14 will consider the application from 418 NE2 Ave LLC, managed by John Russo and Eleonora Hroncich in Brooklyn, New York. The company acquired the vacant lot of 0.29 acres at 418 N.E. Second Ave. for $1.2 million in July.

The 418 Lofts would total 126,837 square feet in 26 stories, with 53 residential units and 53 parking spaces. There would be a rooftop pool deck and fitness area and another 2,369 square feet of unspecified indoor amenities on the 19th floor.

The units would range from 904 to 1,830 square feet. There would be 25 one-bedroom units and 28 two-bedroom units. It was designed by Tamara Peacock Company Architects in Fort Lauderdale.

“The 418 Lofts provides a unique housing option that is centered around downtown living as the surrounding area grows into a pedestrian centric, walkable environment,” the developer stated in the application.

This would add to the development boom in Flagler Village, which has attracted many residents who want to live near downtown Fort Lauderdale to the south.

Fort Lauderdale-based attorney Courtney Crush, who represents the developer in the application, couldn’t be reached for comment.
