It’s back to school season for most, but Peacock Architects have been working hard all summer long to renovate and revamp multiple schools and education centers for the coming school year.

“After all of our community outreach meetings to find out what these students and their communities were looking for, it feels so good to see all of these projects under construction and heading towards completion. Education is at the helm of the Peacock Architects brand. My team and I feel so inspired to be a positive impact in the lives and education trajectory of the students of Broward County, Hendersonville County, and beyond,” says Cristin Peacock.

Take a look at 5 major school/education center projects that we’ve been pounding the pavement for below.

Tebeau Children’s Center

The renovations for Tebeau Children’s Center are completed and WNCSource is now accepting enrollment for this current school year. This massive renovation project began construction in 2020 by Peacock Architects and has finally come to fruition to serve the community of Hendersonville for generations more.

Peacock Architects led the renovations to bring the 70 year old facility up to date with current state and local building codes and expand the space to 6,065 square feet that includes 8 classrooms, a larger kitchen, ADA bathroom, and office space. Along with updated plumbing and electrical systems, a new HVAC and ventilation system, new windows, doors, flooring, and carpeting, and enhanced exterior grading for improved pick-up/ drop-off areas.

The newly renovated Tebeau Children’s Center provides: 5 Early Head Start classrooms to care for up to 40 infants and toddlers (0-3 yrs. old), 3 Head Start and NC Pre-K classrooms to serve 54 children (3-5 yrs.), and services to pregnant mothers.
