People on the Move: Cristin Peacock, Vice President of Peacock Architects
Since 1998, Peacock Architects has been shaping South Florida’s built environment with forward-thinking design and a commitment to excellence, with landmark projects such as Mar-A-Lago, The Great Southern Hotel, and Delray Full Service Adult Education Center. In 2021, Cristin Peacock stepped into the role of Vice President, carrying forward the firm’s legacy and continues to be a driving force behind its success.
As a leader in an award-winning architecture firm, Cristin plays a pivotal role in driving innovation across both commercial and residential sectors. From multi-family residential developments to mixed-use commercial projects, Peacock Architects is known for creating spaces that are not only functional but also elevate the communities they serve. Most recently, the firm was recognized with two prestigious awards—an AIA Design Award in the Unbuilt Category for 404NW1 Condos, and the OpEx3 Conference Award for Best Security Design for their work with the Palm Beach School District—solidifying its reputation as a leader in the field.
Beyond her work at Peacock Architects, Cristin is committed to shaping South Florida’s future—not just as a professional, but as a dedicated community member. She volunteers on the Plantation Planning Board, helping guide the city’s growth and development. By ensuring thoughtful and strategic planning for both businesses and residents, Cristin strives to give back to the community she loves, helping to create a more vibrant, sustainable, and inclusive place for all.
Cristin’s passion for architecture is matched by her dedication to mentoring the next generation of designers and architects. Having been mentored by her mother, Tamara Peacock, Cristin now continues that tradition by fostering growth within her own team. Through the firm’s paid internship program, she helps architecture students gain real-world experience, furthering their education and careers. She believes in leading by example, providing opportunities for young architects to thrive, and ensuring Peacock Architects remains a space where creativity and expertise flourish.
Peacock Architects is not just designing spaces—it’s redefining how people live, work, and connect. Committed to ‘designing beyond dreams,’ the firm continues to push the boundaries of innovation. This vision comes to life in recent projects like The Sugar Sand Sportsplex, an old roller rink turned cutting-edge athletic facility; the transformation of a Class B building into an executive office suite and event space; and even the newly opened Fat Tuesday in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
Peacock Architects believes in looking beyond what exists to uncover what’s possible. Designing beyond the dream is about pushing boundaries, reimagining spaces, and creating a lasting impact. Where you see a wall, they see a door to unlimited possibilities.
