Although (almost) every day is International Women’s Day at Peacock Architects, today we celebrate International Women’s Day across the globe. A day where the world celebrates women's achievements, raises awareness around gender discrimination, and fosters driving gender parity.

We’ve all heard about the famous estate that is Mar-a-Lago but there’s lesser known information on the deep cultural history and the architecture behind it. Tamara Peacock, President of Peacock Architects had one of the most prestigious and sought after jobs, Lead Preservation Architect for the National Historic Landmark, Mar-a-Lago. Her task was converting this famous historic estate from a private residence to a members only club.

Block 40, including our beloved Great Southern Hotel was a finalist in the South Florida Business Journal's 2022 Structure Awards for Best Mixed Use Project.

Peacock Architects won the AIA Fort Lauderdale 2022 Design award in the Unbuilt Category for their beautiful 404NW1 Condos.

The 40 Year Safety Inspection laws were created and put into effect throughout Broward County in 2005 after the devastation of Hurricane Wilma. Wilma’s 90+ mph winds caused structural building failures and created a much bigger mess for FEMA than they were prepared for. This program was implemented to help minimize the possibility of future building failure and to better prepare owners and residents for hurricane winds and other major safety hazards. Last year, in response to the Surfside building collapse, the laws were updated again to prevent further catastrophe.

Peacock Architects (PA) have been tremendously busy with an influx of healthcare related jobs. The biggest chunk coming from Broward Health, one of the nation’s 10 largest safety-net healthcare systems.

It’s back to school season for most, but Peacock Architects have been working hard all summer long to renovate and revamp multiple schools and education centers for the coming school year.
